The Leopard isn't elusive anymore!

We had one of the most memorable anniversaries in our past 25 years of marriage.  The morning was lazy as we watched various animals walk out into the pan for water. We had scheduled a 2pm game drive so we just relaxed until it was time to go.  Our drivers name was Gabrielle and we were the only two on the drive...which made it even that much better.   We drove for 4 hours (scheduled was 3 hours but he said he didn't care about time limits) and started out in the heat of the day and ended wrapped in blankets! The highlight of our day was seeing the leopard.  We have been to Africa two times in the past and have never seen the elusive leopard...the last of the "big five" on our list to see. It was at dusk as we were rambling back to the camp and the leopard was perched on top of a termite mound.  How the driver spotted him we'll never know, just guess his eyes are trained for that!  It was the highlight of our day.  This day's story can be told better thru the eye of a camera.  Enjoy these, we sure did!

The birds!

This guy was eating his prey, we could see him plucking off the feathers.

The end of the day...the leopard pic is not that good but more to post soon! Or guide Gabrielle, who was excellent.
